WELCOME LETTER FOR MY STUDENTS (BATCH 2019 2023)

Dear Hospitality Professionals,

Greetings and Welcome to a new session of 2022 !

This is your Seventh semester. All of you are in your final year of Hotel Management and just some months away from getting your first job. 

I hope that with hard work and focused approach; quite a few would be able to make a mark in the HOSPITALITY SECTOR.

I am sure that all of you would have definitely utilized these past few months in online learning and keeping yourself motivated for the placement season.

As you are aware, I will be taking your course on HOSPITALITY SALES & MARKETING  (BHCT -405).
 
This course comprises of 5 eight units and is essentially focused on basics of sales and marketing with respect to hospitality industry.

The five units are :

UNIT I Introduction to Sales & Marketing 
UNIT II Hospitality Marketing 
UNIT III   Hospitality Sales 
UNIT IV Personal Selling & Sales Management 
UNIT V Brand Management & Public Relations in Hospitality 


In the past, quite a few of the students who have remained focused on marketing, have been able to use this subject knowledge in various interviews, irrespective of the department they choose. So, I would like you all to attend my classes on HOSPITALITY SALES & MARKETING and learn various aspects of sales and marketing.

Organization Chart Hotel Sales and Marketing Department Hotel sales and marketing department vary with type of hotel organization, size and budget. But all hotels whether it is large or small should have a sales and marketing department to take care of the sales and marketing strategies of the hotel.  At smaller hotels a sales executive handles business from all market segments, He or she may deal with Travel agents, Tour operators, Event planners, corporate guests, online travel agents and travel consortia.
